Art on the Square 2016 Winners

It's coming!!! Be watching!!! See if you can spot "ART" the Guerrilla. He's everywhere.

It's almost here!!! ART on the SQUARE is coming, Saturday, June 6th, 7am-11:30am on the square in downtown Waverly. Chalk and water will be provided. Bring your imagination and show the world what you've got. Prizes awarded at 12:00. Five age categories awarding 3 places in each.

Fun for the WHOLE Family. Come out and cheer your favorites on.

Autumn Blaze Arts Festival is coming in 6 months. We are planning it now. We want to make this a true Festival. Artists, Crafters and Demonstrations will be in the Family Life Center at the Waverly United Methodist Church on Main Street. We are expecting performers, musicians, vocalists, cloggers and food vendors around the court square. There will be small things happening around that area all day on Saturday.

Pass this info along to anyone you know that would be interested. Contact information is on the poster.

"Art on the Square" will be June 6th, 2015, 7:30am til 11:00am, east parking lot beside Hwy. 13. 
5 age categories with prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each category.
Bring your towel, umbrella, image to draw and an audience if you want to. Fun for everyone, even if you think you can't draw, come on down and give it a try. It's ALL free.
 

Our 3 Rivers Quilt Trail is underway. We have 36 blocks up, 8 in process of being painted, 3 waiting to be mounted and 3 more deciding on their block design.

This is absolutely amazing. We started working on this in February and here in August we are at a wonderful point. Thanks you to everyone who has participated. 

We have 7 artists and counting who are involved in putting the quilt design to the board.  Some of the designs are very "out of the box" and  some are just beautiful.

"Art on the Square" June 7th, 2014. We had 45 artists putting chalk to pavement. Beautiful images were left for all to see. Everyone was entertained by "Runaway Puppet Theater".  Young and older enjoyed the morning. Thank you to everyone who participated. See you next year.

Newest Blocks on the Quilt Block Trail.

Newest block on the  3 Rivers Quilt Block Trail.
Evelyn White painted it and it is on her house at 481 Powers Blvd. in Waverly. It is the "Flower Basket".

Here are some of the Quilt Blocks that are up and looking beautiful. More are in the process of being painted and we will get those up soon.
The first block is located at deer Creek Road and Arnold Hollow Road. The next 6 blocks are at Enoch's Grist Mill on East Little Blue Creek. The bottom block is up at the Johnsonville State Historic Park Welcome Center. Check them out on your drives around the county.
